French PM Lecornu denies police crackdown as France’s student protests intensify

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has insisted that security forces have not been ordered to “confront” protesting high school students, as mounting allegations of police brutality add to tensions surrounding a nationwide movement over conditions in schools.
