Le film ‘Le dernier repas’ de l’haïtienne Maryse Legagneur : un succès international

Le film Le dernier repas de Maryse Legagneur poursuit son parcours exceptionnel. Finaliste dans la catégorie Meilleur premier film aux Prix Iris du Gala Québec Cinéma 2025, il vaut également à Mathieu Laverdière une nomination pour la meilleure direction de la photographie.

Ce drame sensible a déjà conquis les festivals internationaux, raflant entre autres le Best First Feature au Kingston Canadian Film Festival, le Prix Mamito du FEMI en Guadeloupe, le Marimbas Award du Miami Film Festival et le Caribbean Award du International Peace Festival de Toronto.

Interprété par Gilbert Laumord, Marie-Évelyne Lessard, Fabrice Yvanoff Sénat et Mireille Metellus, le film raconte l’histoire bouleversante de Reynold, condamné par un cancer, qui tente de renouer avec sa fille Vanessa autour de repas empreints de mémoire et de pardon.
