French court confirms Moroccan footballer Hakimi to stand trial on rape charge

A French appeals court on Friday confirmed that Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi will face trial over the alleged rape of a woman in 2023, an accusation the Paris Saint-Germain defender denies. The ruling came the same day the Morocco captain was due to lead his national team against Scotland in their second World Cup match.
