USA – Encore six semaines d’hiver, prédit la marmotte : une tradition de prévision saisonnière vieille de 140 ans

Punxsutawney, Pennsylvanie — La célèbre marmotte Punxsutawney Phil a vu son ombre dimanche matin lors de la célébration annuelle du Jour de la marmotte, indiquant, selon la tradition, le prolongement de l’hiver pour environ six semaines supplémentaires.

L’événement, tenu à Gobbler’s Knob, attire chaque année des milliers de curieux malgré les températures glaciales. La cérémonie s’inscrit dans une tradition nord-américaine remontant à 1887, soit près de 140 ans d’observation symbolique du cycle saisonnier.
